VingCard-Compatible Hotel Key Cards
Signature RFID, Essence, Allure, Mobile Access sites and the vast magstripe legacy — VingCard estates span every credential era. We cover all of them from one production line.
VingCard, the hospitality flagship of ASSA ABLOY, equips many of the world’s flagged and full-service hotels. Its RFID generations — Signature RFID, Essence, Allure — have used several MIFARE® chip types over the years, and Mobile Access properties layer BLE keys on top of physical cards.
In practice: older RFID conversions often read MIFARE Classic® 1K, many Signature/Essence sites issue Ultralight® C, and newer or security-focused deployments use DESFire® EV1/EV2. Magstripe Classic and 2100 locks continue to run on LoCo cards. Send us your model or a working card — the test pack does the rest.
Which chip does VingCard read?
Commonly used pairings by generation. Individual properties can differ — the final chip is always confirmed with free test samples in your own doors before production.

How verification works

Identify your lock
Find the brand and model on the lock’s inside plate or battery cover, ask your installer, or simply photograph a working key card (both sides) and the lock.

We match the chip
Send the details to sales@cardotel.com or through the form. We identify the chip your generation reads and assemble free test samples with the matching candidates.

Your doors decide
Encode the samples on site exactly as you do today. Only after your locks confirm the reads do we print the full run — zero compatibility gambles.
VingCard key card questions
Which chip do VingCard Signature RFID locks read?
Signature RFID and Essence commonly issue MIFARE Ultralight® C guest cards, though early conversions read Classic® 1K and newer deployments use DESFire® EV1/EV2. Generation matters — our free test pack includes the right candidates for yours.
Our hotel uses ASSA ABLOY Mobile Access — do we still need cards?
Yes. Mobile Access properties still issue physical cards for guests who prefer them, families, and as backup. Those sites typically run DESFire®-based cards; we supply them ready for your encoders.
Can you meet brand-standard print quality for flagged hotels?
Our presses hold PMS color to roughly 5–10% deviation with foil, spot UV, embossing and soft-touch options — we regularly print to international brand-manual specs. Printed proofs are approved before every run.
Do you supply cards for VingCard 2100 magstripe locks?
Yes — LoCo magstripe cards for Classic and 2100 systems are still produced in volume, and hybrid chip + magstripe cards are available for estates mid-upgrade.
