Project references: what to ask for

There are currently no published, verified Cardotel case studies on this page. You can describe the reference you need; its availability and permission to share must be confirmed.

Make the comparison specific

Include these details in a reference request so the scope of the comparison is clear.

System and intended use

Name the lock and encoder models, software or platform, and the access points you need to test. A shared brand name alone does not make two installations comparable.

Card construction

Describe the proposed chip and preparation, material, finish and artwork. State whether you need a printing reference, a material review or an access-compatibility comparison.

Scale and order pattern

Give an approximate quantity per design, the number of properties, destination and whether you are replacing stock or planning regular reorders.

Share non-sensitive model and specification details. Keep guest data, live access credentials and system security keys with your authorized team.

If a reference is available, review the evidence

A useful reference explains its scope and limits. It should help you identify what still needs to be checked for your order.

Relevance
Compare the actual installation and card specification with your own. Record the differences that still need testing.
Traceability
Check who provided the reference, the project period, the supplied item and what permission exists to share the information.
Measured results
Ask how any result was measured, over what period and against which starting point. Keep limitations and unresolved issues with the result.
Your approval
Use a reference to plan questions and tests. Approve your own specification and sample checks before placing an order.

The checklist is an unfilled specification and acceptance tool, not a project reference or test report.

Reference request questions

Are there verified Cardotel case studies available on this page?

No verified case studies are currently published here. This page explains how to request a relevant reference and assess any information that becomes available; it is not evidence of completed customer projects.

Will a matching project reference be provided with my quote?

Availability has to be confirmed. Describe the comparison you need, and ask whether relevant information can be shared. A matching project, customer contact or testimonial is not included automatically.

Can a reference replace a sample test at our property?

No. Similar projects may have different credentials, preparation, software or reader configurations. Have your authorized team test the proposed samples in your own installation and record the acceptance criteria and results.

Already have a specification to compare?

Include the card requirements, quantity per design and destination in a quote request. Confirm sample availability, evidence and order terms for that proposal.
