Eco-Friendly Key Cards

Sustainability your guests can hold

Replace plastic key cards without replacing your locks. Our eco cards carry the same chips as standard PVC — the only thing that changes is the material story you tell at check-in.

Inside the factory

How your key cards are made

One roof in Dongguan, China: printing, lamination, chip embedding, encoding and QC on our own lines since 2008. Here is the journey from raw sheet to the card your front desk hands over.

  1. Materials in

    1 · Materials in

REACH & RoHS-compliant PVC, FSC®-option wood veneers and chip inlays — every batch verified before it touches a press.

  2. Offset printing

    2 · Offset printing

German offset presses with Pantone spot-color matching held to roughly 5–10% against your brand standard.

  3. Lamination & embedding

    3 · Lamination & embedding

Printed cores are collated and fused under heat and pressure, sealing the antenna and chip inside a rigid CR80 body.

  4. Encoding & 100% testing

    4 · Encoding & 100% testing

Every single card is read-tested before packing — not a sample, all of them. UID lists supplied on request.

  5. Finishing & packing

    5 · Finishing & packing

Die-cutting, slot punching and per-property packing on automated lines, labeled so each front desk gets the right box.

100% read-tested No sampling — every card passes a reader before it ships.
PMS color held to ~5–10% Proofed against your Pantone code or physical reference.
REACH & RoHS materials Compliance documentation available for procurement.
Your keys stay yours We never hold your locking system’s secret keys — encoding of access data happens only at your property.

Rather see it than read it?

Three minutes inside a card line: sheet printing, collation, lamination and punching — the same fundamentals our Dongguan facility runs at over one million cards per month. Want proof in your own hands instead? The sample pack ships free.

Eco key card questions, answered

Do wooden and paper cards work in my existing locks?

Yes. The RFID chip and antenna inside are the same as in a PVC card — the lock cannot tell the difference. We test every eco material against your lock system samples exactly as we do with PVC.

How durable are eco key cards compared to PVC?

Wood and bamboo cards comfortably survive months of daily use; waterproof paper cards are built for typical stay lengths and are the usual choice where cards are not returned. Degradable PVC matches standard PVC durability one-for-one.

How much more do eco cards cost?

Waterproof paper is often close to standard PVC. Bamboo and degradable PVC carry a moderate premium; real-wood cards cost the most per piece but are frequently kept by guests as souvenirs — many properties treat them as marketing rather than consumables.

Can you back up the environmental claims?

We provide FSC chain-of-custody documentation for certified wood orders and independent ASTM D3826/D5208 test reports for degradable PVC, so your marketing and procurement teams have evidence behind every claim.
