Hotel key card samples

Choose the sample that answers your question.

Compare materials and finishes, test a proposed credential in your locks, or review your own artwork. Start with the details you know; the sample plan sets out the proposed contents, costs and timing.

Three ways to check before production

Material & print references

Proposed contents
Available reference cards or material samples in the agreed PVC, paper, bamboo or wood constructions and finishes, with the items and quantities listed in your plan.
Start with
The materials or finishes you want to compare, intended order quantity and destination country.
Approval scope
Review look and feel. Existing references do not approve your own artwork or prove lock compatibility.

Credential compatibility test

Proposed contents
RFID or magstripe test cards with an agreed specification, quantity and credential-preparation status for your installed system.
Start with
Lock and encoder models, software or a current card specification if known, plus the doors and shared readers you need to test.
Approval scope
Your authorized hotel team issues and tests the samples on the agreed system; record the result before approving production.

Your artwork: digital or physical proof

Proposed contents
A digital artwork proof, a physical printed sample, or both, with the artwork version, material, print method and finish agreed in the plan.
Start with
Front and back artwork or a design brief, color references, finish and intended quantity. In your message, say whether you need a digital proof or a physical sample.
Approval scope
A digital proof checks layout; a physical sample checks the agreed print and finish. Credential compatibility is a separate test.

In the form, choose print and material review, compatibility testing, or both. Describe custom proof requirements in your message.

See the costs and timing before you proceed

Your written sample plan should set out the proposed work and each applicable charge. Availability and the final scope are confirmed for your project.

Samples
List the card specification, contents, quantities, sample price, currency and quote validity.
Artwork & credential preparation
Show any design, setup, printing or credential-preparation work and its charges separately.
Shipping
State the destination, freight charge, delivery terms and who pays any applicable duties or taxes.
Preparation & transit
State the approvals and payment terms needed to begin, the expected dispatch date and a separate transit estimate.
Credit toward production
Include any agreed deduction and its conditions in writing; credit is not automatic.

Agree the plan before sample work or shipment is arranged. Bulk-production pricing and timing are confirmed separately.

From your question to a recorded result

Each sample should answer an agreed question so you can decide what to order next.

  1. 1

Tell us what you need to check

Choose a reference, a credential test, a custom proof, or a combination. Share known system details, intended quantity and destination; unknown details can follow.

  2. 2

    Agree the written sample plan

Review the proposed contents, preparation, itemized costs, approval scope and timing. Confirm these before work or shipment is arranged.

  3. 3

    Review, test and record

Approve the artwork or material against the agreed scope. For credentials, use your authorized encoder and representative doors and readers; report results before confirming the production specification.

Sample questions, answered

Do I need to know the chip before requesting samples?

No. Start with the lock brand, model, encoder or current card reference you have. The exact credential and any preparation are confirmed before a system test is arranged.

How much do samples and shipping cost?

Charges depend on the card specification, quantity, preparation and printing requested. Ask for an itemized plan showing sample and work charges, currency, shipping and any applicable taxes or duties before proceeding.

Can I check my own artwork?

Yes, request a digital artwork proof, a physical printed sample, or both. Agree the artwork version, material, finish, cost and scope. A digital proof cannot establish physical color or feel, and print approval does not establish lock compatibility.

Are sample fees deducted from a production order?

Only if a deduction and its conditions are agreed in writing in your sample plan or quotation. It is not an automatic credit.

When will the samples arrive?

The plan separates preparation and expected dispatch from the transit estimate to your destination. Confirm the approvals and payment terms needed to start. Timing for a later production order is agreed separately.

How do I test credential samples?

Confirm the required preparation, then have your authorized property team issue the cards through its normal process and test the agreed doors and shared readers. Record the sample reference, system setup and result before approving a production specification.

Can a distributor or lock installer request a broader selection?

Share the systems, materials and customer applications you support. We can discuss an evaluation plan, then confirm available samples or unbranded references, their quantities, charges and timing.
